SF Hash Week 2024 smashes goals: Here’s the Impact Report

SAN FRANCISCO—The first-ever SF Hash Week powered by CCELL concluded with a grand finale event Wed. July 17, while the stunning Macro:Dose photo art show runs through August.

Reports indicate SF Hash Week totally smashed our goals—promising 9 events, and delivering 18 events that totaled 2,636 RSVPs. Plus a glass show by Oiled, and a walking tour from The Cannabis Trail. Our title sponsor, CCELL, powered demos for a slew of brands like Timeless and Jetty.

We believe we met and exceeded the vast majority of our advertiser deliverables, generating at least 250,000 brand impressions. And we gave the world something it had never seen before. 

Our mission and vision is a thriving and exemplary city of San Francisco, and cannabis culture. We took further huge strides down that path.

Up next is our art show ‘Get to the Bag‘ powered by Terploc at Hall of Flowers in Santa Rosa, CA September 20-21.

Some cool highlights from SF Hash Week

—Stores sold weeks and month’s-worth of hash in hours thanks to our industry-first pre-ordering process. One hashmaker sold about 70 grams in 60 minutes. 

—Our audience pre-ordered 255 grams of hash over the week.

—We saw cool new drops from Kalya, Arcata Fire, Royal Key, Harry Rose, HolyWater, Ember Valley, Nasha Hash, and so many more offer the best cannabis extracts on the planet. You can’t buy your way onto the SF Hash Week lineup. We focus on bringing the best of the state to our audience.

—We hit 2,636 total RSVPs. Three events sold out.

—We promised “tens of thousands of brand impressions”, and delivered several hundred thousand, and then lost count. Social media impressions alone totaled a combined 250,000-plus impressions.

—We promised 50 posters and 500 flyers. We delivered more than 300 posters, and 1,000 flyers, and placed them at dozens of locations around the Bay Area.

—Lounges again hit capacity and turned into hotboxes despite the ventilation’s best efforts.

—We executed a 12-piece photo art show called Macro:Dose by leading photographer Kandid Kush, and we have sold 4 pieces so far. The show is extending its run at Moe Greens for another one. Be sure to buy a piece today.

—Nearly a dozen media outlets covered SF Hash Week including KCBS, KRON4, SF Chronicle’s GreenState, SF Gate, SF Travel, and Leaf Magazine and more—sending earned media impressions into the hundreds of thousands. Some outlets like KRON4  and KCBS ran their stories repeatedly for their huge audiences.

—We added hundreds of new active email subscribers to reach over 1,900 active engaged cannabis eventgoers on our list, 

—Our Gift Shop is open and selling out of items like ‘zines, posters, and memberships, with more to come. We have a few hats and t-shirts remaining.

—And we reached hundreds of key dispensary decision-makers—budtenders, and owners—with two fruitful B2B events: the ‘Cali Hash Exchange’ and Budtenders’ Brunch.

Our @SFWeedWeek Instagram yielded over 250,000 impressions from 129 posts alone, not counting Stories.

  • Reels and IG Live impressions alone hit 166,955 impressions. 
  • Our top Reel hit 14,200 impressions.
  • A single IG post could reach up to 9,000 people.
  • Our audience’s our top-shared post was shared 82 times.
  • We added +816 followers to reach 2.4K

June 12

SF Hash Week paired dozens of dispensary buyers up with as many hash sellers to get ready for July 10. It was a more intimate B2B with loads of high-quality hash for sale.

July 10

  • Royal Key opened SF Hash Week with Black Rainbow Piss fresh press live rosin, donuts, and pizza at Chronic Culture. Lines went down the block and hash flew off the bar.
  • Kandid Kush opened Macro:Dose with a packed party at Moe Greens.
  • Arcata Fire sold their California State Fair-winning LANTZ pens. And Ridgeline Farms dabbed folks out with new crosses of LANTZ to Whitethorn Rose.
  • The 710 Labs crew of Northern California held court in a booth like rock stars.

July 11

  • Ember Valley dropped 4 new live rosins with a private garden party attached. 
  • Meanwhile, Harry Rose released a Sour Z with Alpenglow at Solful in the Inner Richmond.
  • Even more, Nasha Hash held court at Moe Greens for a drop party.

  • Kalya’s Marc Hammond came down to dab people out and release the last of their Z rosin for the year.
  • Over in Richmond, CA Fire King and Canna Country held an epic drop party for two new flavors.

July 14

Dab-E-Oke offered dabs, Japanese stoner food, beer, and karaoke. (SF Hash Week)
  • Budtenders lined up down the block and scooped up gift bags at a special brunch with a dozen brands at Meadow HQ.
  • A super-VIP karaoke and dab sessions went down with stoner Japanese food at a private restaurant.

July 15

Oakland Extracts brought the best deal of the fest: $40 Honey Papaya live rosin grams sourced from Kalya’s tier 1 line.

July 17

Hash and Flowers sold fresh grams at 7 Stars and hosted a reception at Exit Now.
